Google Consent & CMP status

Status: supported.

CookieHug sets the default consent signals (consent default) before Google tags load, and sends an update (consent update) as soon as the visitor makes their decision.

Supported consent signals:

  • analytics_storage
  • ad_storage
  • ad_user_data
  • ad_personalization
  • additionally: functionality_storage, personalization_storage, security_storage

CookieHug also supports url_passthrough, ad ping redaction and the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

Google Tag Manager

Status: supported.

CookieHug provides a tag template for Google Tag Manager. We recommend firing it on the Consent Initialization — All Pages trigger, so the default consent signals are set before any tag evaluates its consent state.

CookieHug meets Google’s CMP banner requirements and is prepared for the Google CMP certification process.
